Kings Treats formerly known as King-Hansen’s Cakes was founded in September of 2022. As a new parent, finding a Monday-Friday job that understood the needs of my family was very difficult. Thankfully I have a very supportive life partner, who helped me realize that my passion for baking could become something more than just a hobby. After deciding to take on becoming a full-time business owner, I began perfecting my craft by leaning by the wisdom of my mother; a brilliant Home Economics instructor for the public school system in the metro DC area. It wasn’t long before we began appearing at local Farmers Markets in the Charleston area, starting with our Grand Debut of our Cream Cheese Truffle at the Hampton Park Farmers Market.
